How to create an OpenVPN Dial-in Connection
In order to create a VPN Dial in account on a Draytek Vigor 3910 router.
- First you must first log into the Vigor 3910 and verify that you have internet access.
- Create a Remote Dial-In User
- Create a user name and password
Set Idle Time = 0
Allowed Dial-in type = OpenVPN Tunnel - Go to OpenVPN
The VPN port is set to 1194 but can be changed from on the "openVPN Server Setup" tab if you need to change it - Then click on Generate to generate the 4 SSL certificates.
- Next click on the "Client Config" tab to get the OpenVPN config file to get the config file to share the setup on another device. name the file and then click "Export" to get your config file.
Leave all other setting at their defaults unless something comes up and these settings need to be changed. - Next you need to go to the "SSL General Setup" link under "VPN and Remote Access" and select the the SSL Certificate Server Certificate that you created in step 5.
